I’m the owner of our studio and have been a professional body piercer for nearly 20 years. Piercing has been my craft, my career, and my passion, and I’m proud to bring that experience to every client who walks through our doors. When I’m not working in the studio, you’ll usually find me painting with vibrant colors or sewing and designing handmade plush toys—two creative outlets that keep me inspired both in and out of my work

Hey y'all! I started my journey with Elevated before it was a even twinkle in Donnie and Erin's eyes lol. They took a chance on me way back in 2014 at a previous establishment and after some extensive travel I returned to Boone in 2017 right as they opened Elevated's doors. Since then I've thrown everything I got into helping make Elevated the raddest space we know how to be.

I love doing any and everything I am trusted to do by our amazing community; especially large gauge/heavy mods, custom projects, curations, surface work, genital and oral piercings, and tooth gems. I believe that what we do is more than purely decorative and aesthetic. It's a way to feel more at home in your own body. It's a way to be more connected to the flesh and blood that we reside in.

Feel free to holler at me for questions/bookings/general chatting and I'm siked to be here for ya. Unless of course you are a bigot, racist, homophobe, transphobe, xenophobe, billionaire, or any other asshole who thinks you are above your fellow humans. Hi! I’m Sloan Blinsink — I've been tattooing here in Boone for about five years now. I specialize in whimsical, bright colors and thick, punchy line work… basically American traditional on cute mode. I'm super grateful to have been voted best of Boone in The Appalachain for the past four years in a row. :)

I was born in Snohomish, Washington, went to high school in Iredell county (Mooresville), and both sides of my family have roots in Watauga county. I've been living in Boone for the last seven years, and it really feels like home.

I've been with Elevated Body Art for two years, and I seriously love this community — the people, the energy, all of it.

When I’m not tattooing, I'm usually hanging out with my little guys: sampson the hedgehog, my guinea pigs (biscuit and gravy), my red-eared slider (ibble) and my leopard gecko (kip)! I've also been described (accurately) as a lifelong scene kid.

I'm always down to talk through ideas, brainstorm, or just nerd out about art. I would love to meet anyone who wants to collaborate or get something fun started!

Hello there. Tis I, Bryan. The road I now travel started in Boone NC with a traditional apprenticeship where I started tattooing in 2004. In the past 21+ years I’ve lived everywhere from Atlanta to NYC to Seattle and in between. Traveling has always been a large part of my life and continues with tattooing. I enjoy making Japanese, especially on the larger side, and traditional tattoos. You can always turn to my collection of custom hand painted flash that I’ve made if you need some help finding the right fit for your tattoo.

Patrick - @cannibalhorde42

Patrick Coston is a multi-instrumentalist active in the bands VRAS and Nox Eternus. Drawing from black metals raw minimalism, occult mysticism and philosophical introspection. He favors atmosphere over excess and uses music as invocation. Whether it be through music or through day to day interaction, his pursuit is equal parts disciplined and feral, seeking clarity though darkness. Patrick has been rocking our front counter since 2020 and he is an integral part of the ELEVATED experience.

Donnie Lee - @thesteelpusher

I’ve lived in Boone since 1999. I went to Watauga high school class of 03. I also worked at a local head shop, Expressions, for over a decade where I was the manager, and my wife Erin was the piercer. In 2017 we decided it was time for something new. We opened Elevated! Nowadays, I practically just manage the business in the background but if you catch me in the shop don’t hesitate to say hey.

If you don’t catch me in the shop it’s likely because I’m working with my friends at Primitive Woodsman, making some awesome knives.
